We’ve tallied all the Thumbs Up’s and Thumbs Down’s for the month of October and the Froglix listeners have proven to have quite the diversity of tastes. Forty-five (45) tracks from thirty-three (33) artists received votes, but alas, not everyone can be a winner. Represented in the Top Ten alone though are artists we have described before as rock, modern rock, alternative rock, Brit alt-rock, ambient, electro, electronica, indie pop, ska, power ska, reggae, punk, post-punk, singer/songwriter, and actually quite a bit more. We round out 2009 with the Best of OuterSound.  It is a compilation of some (but not all) of the best indie music that has been delivered to the Froglix Faithful via our monthly OuterSound podcast and/or our global broadcast on Froglix Radio.  This first year-end edition could easily have been 2-3 times as long as it was very difficult to pick the songs for this episode.  We have, however settled on a final “Best of” list and it is, in order of appearance:

Best of OuterSound – 2009

Your friends at Froglix are pleased to announce that the inaugural episode of the OuterSound Indie Music podcast is available for download! Every month we will be compiling a “highlight reel”, of sorts, showcasing (10) tracks of new music from global artists currently in rotation on Froglix Radio.  So why a podcast you may ask?  Well, our main goal was a simple one.  To provide listeners with  on-demand/on the go access to the best indie music on the planet.

This month’s offering includes musical contributions from The Treading Lemmings, Part One Tribe, Raya Nova and Holloe from the US as well as Cellarscape (UK), Artsy Pop (France),  Leek and the Bouncing Uptones (South Africa),  Smart Artists (Australia) and Cashbook Clique (Jamaica).
